This recipe is one that I have enjoyed since before I can remember - Mama started making this when I was new to eating and it's been a regular snack food for me ever since.
Ingredients
2 bananas
1 apple (whatever variety you prefer), quartered and cored. Peeled or not - your choice!
2 cups whole oats
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp cinnamon (or to taste)
Puree the fruit in the food processor until smooth. Stir in the other ingredients. Scoop into small ball-size bites on a parchment-paper lined cookie sheet. We use a small melon baller/mini ice cream scoop for ease.
Bake at 350 for 17 minutes.
Can be stored in the fridge for a few days-
You may be thinking, why are these adorable turtle photos here? Well, maybe they are racing to get some granola bites. Time to get baking!
