We are so looking forward to visiting one of the many amazing farm sanctuaries in the near future, but for those days when you are at home and want to feel the magic of happy, free farm animals, the illustrations in Julia's book take you there.

This sweet picture book tells everyone about animals that are rescued and healed rather than hurt by people. The book is reminding us all to love these animals, they are just the same as us. We all deserve to be safe, loved and honored.
I think every family should read this and talk honestly about where food comes from. Avoiding the conversation just allows animal abuse to continue. If there is a farm sanctuary near you, I hope you get to visit soon - they do amazing work, and once you see a wee piglet, or get a nuzzle from a cow, I think your life will change for the better!!!!
Check out Julia's other books on her website, at your local bookstore or library. Let's celebrate and promote folks who are proud vegans!!!!
Thank you for your activism Oliver! Here is a link to a short film from Emergence Magazine entitled "The Nightingale's Song" - https://emergencemagazine.org/film/the-nightingales-song/?utm_source=Emergence+Magazine&utm_campaign=8ec52f8dd4-Emergence—20240616&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_73186f6259-8ec52f8dd4-357005605.
Like you, British folk singer Sam Lee is connecting with as many people as possible, "unlocking hearts"and reuniting through song with the understanding that we cannot protect what we don't know and what we are not in love with.

Thank you for this beautiful post--I love the illustrations, they are so heartfelt and compassionate. Also, your words about the animal sanctuary reminded me of my current situation. I feel I am in a sanctuary of sorts myself, where very kind and compassionate humans are looking after my care and healing. I am very grateful for the love on this planet, and for the abundance of love that I am experiencing and receiving during my own healing process. May that loving extend to all humans, animals and beings everywhere.
