    For the past few months we have been developing a new cookbook to share. Inspired by foods mentioned in novels that I love, we hope you enjoy making, baking and tasting some recipes, both savory and sweet!

    This cookbook is an AWESOME accomplishment. It is so clever, entertaining, sweet and well-organized, with so many delicious recipes. I just love the literary theme--what a great idea--and the excerpts from the books give a wonderful, three-dimensional quality to the recipes that follow, providing context, and also inspiring the reader to try them out! In full disclosure: as a member of the family I have had the great good fortune of being the taste-tester for many of these delights, and I can vouch for all of them. Some of my favorites: Sailor's Pavlova, Mossy's Seedcake, Lizzy's Stollen and Lao Lao's Almond Cookies (as you can see, I have a sweet tooth!). And, the fact that they are all ve…
